Configure Chat Settings

Settings > Messages > Chat Settings. 


You will wait to add users to your messaging chat groups until after you have added your users to Fold. For now, edit your default group message settings and your location message settings. When a patient sends a message to your practice, the system checks their mapped location's availability in Fold and sends an Auto Reply message if the message is sent outside of office hours. 


The default group message is a message that all new patients receive when they try to send a message from the Fold Care App for the first time. 

 

Best Practice: Although Fold offers the ability to enable 1:1 chat groups, where a patient can only initiate a chat with their physician, the recommendation is to not use 1:1 chat groups. Once enabled, if a provider goes out of office, a patient message may be missed.
