New Location Checklist

Below is a useful checklist for when a new clinical location is added in Fold. 

If you are using Elation as your EMR, locations should be created in Elation first and allowed to sync with Fold.

Why It’s Important

Add the new Location and fill in the Location Information.
(Settings → Account-> + Location)

Creates a new Location.  If applicable Link the location to the location in your EMR. 

Assign a Phone Number to the Location
(Settings → Calls → Phone Number)

Links a phone number to a location.

If you would like a new location for this phone number, click “+ Purchase a New Number”

Add staff members to any default chat groups linked with that location.
(Settings → Messages → Messages Settings)

Allows staff to see incoming messages for any patients that are linked to that location.

Add a default welcome message for the chat message groups associated with that location.
(Settings → Messages → Messages Settings)

Any patients logging into the App that is associated with that specific location will receive a welcome message as shown in the default welcome message field.

When a new clinic location is removed from Fold, it’s recommended to do the above in reverse.
