1. Question: I am not able to login to the Sidecar. What should I do?

Answer:

Sidecar relies on a user mapping between your Fold account and your Electronic Health Record (EHR) account. If this mapping is not established correctly, you won't be able to use Sidecar.

Here are some possible reasons for login issues and solutions:

  1. Missing EHR User Mapping:

    • Check for mapping: Go to Settings -> Account -> Team -> Edit user -> Map user to EHR. Ensure your EHR user is listed.

    • If missing: Contact the Fold customer success team, providing your EHR username. They will assist with mapping.

  2. Incorrect EHR User ID:

    • Verify ID: Sometimes, the EHR doesn't return the correct user ID to Fold. This can prevent mapping.

    • Contact EHR support: If you suspect this is the issue, reach out to your EHR's support team for assistance.

  3. Outdated Sidecar Version:

    • Check version: Ensure you're using the latest version of Sidecar. Contact the Fold customer success team for the current version.

    • Update: Follow the steps to update Sidecar (as below)


 D.  How to Update the Sidecar Extension in Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to the extensions page:

  • Open Google Chrome on your computer.

  • In the address bar, type chrome://extensions/ and press Enter.

  1. Enable Developer mode:

  • Look for the "Developer mode" switch in the top right corner of the extensions page.

  • Toggle the switch to enable Developer mode.

  1. Locate the Sidecar extension card:

  • Scroll through the list of installed extensions until you find the "Sidecar" extension.

  1. Check the installed version:

  • The current version of the Sidecar extension will be displayed on the extension card.

2. Question: Will the extension need to be re-downloaded every time a new version is released?

Answer:

No, once installed, the extension will automatically update to the latest version without requiring manual re-downloading.

3. Question: Can users access the Fold Sidecar from any Chrome-based browser?

Answer:

Yes, the Fold Sidecar extension is compatible with Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

4. Question:  How can users access patient-specific widgets within the Fold Sidecar?

Answer:

Users can navigate to the patient profile within the EHR interface, where they will find the Fold Sidecar loaded with patient-specific widgets for tasks, chat, and insights.

5. Question:  Is there any additional setup required after installing the Fold Sidecar

extension?

Answer:

No, once installed and logged in, the Fold Sidecar will seamlessly integrate into the EHR interface, requiring no additional setup steps.

6. Question:  Will all practice users be able to log in to the Fold Sidecar?

Answer:

Only Fold users mapped to a corresponding user in the EHR can log in to the Sidecar. If this mapping cannot be done for any user, please reach out to Fold customer success team.

7. Question:  Why do I see the option to select an “account” when I try to login to the Fold Sidecar?

Answer:

This may be because there is more than one account configured for your practice on Fold (one may be a preview account created for migration purposes). Simply select the account in use by your practice and proceed.

8. Question:  Will deactivated users be able to login to the Fold Sidecar?

Answer:

No, deactivated users (on Fold) will not be able to log in to the Sidecar.

9. Question:  How often will I be logged out of the sidecar and have to login again?

Answer:

There is a session timeout period of 8 hours applicable for the Sidecar.

10. Question:  SSO is enabled for my practice account, will I have to log into Fold Sidecar separately?

Answer:

Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled accounts can directly log in through the extension without having to enter a password every time. Please remember that users need to log into the Fold web experience once before they can start using sidecar.
